Pool & Locker Room Rules

These rules apply to all visitors including season pass holders, day pass guests, and program participants.

Safety
  • Walk at all times — no running, horseplay, or roughhousing
  • No diving anywhere in the pool
  • Follow all staff instructions immediately
  • Shower before entering the pool (Massachusetts DCR requirement)
  • Appropriate swimwear required — no street clothes, denim, or cut-offs in the pool
  • We recommend removing jewelry before entering the pool — Hall Memorial Pool is not responsible for lost or damaged jewelry
  • Swim diapers required for children who are not toilet trained
  • No open wounds, communicable illnesses, or bandages covering wounds in the pool
Supervision
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the locker rooms
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for their children’s conduct at all times
📵 Photography & Recording
  • Photography, video recording, and live streaming are prohibited in the pool and locker room areas without prior written authorization from management
  • Guests who refuse to stop recording when directed by staff will be required to leave immediately
  • Respect the privacy and personal space of all guests
Facility Rules
  • No food, gum, or beverages on the pool deck — all food must be eaten in the designated picnic area
  • Sealed water bottles are permitted on the pool deck
  • No glass of any kind anywhere on the property — including bottles, jars, and drinkware
  • Alcohol, smoking, vaping, and weapons are prohibited
  • Do not change diapers or clothing on the pool deck — use the locker rooms
  • Do not stand on or move picnic tables — available to all guests on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Use respectful language — this is a family-friendly environment
Locker Rooms & Showers
  • Separate men’s and women’s locker rooms — both ADA accessible
  • Showers are available — guests are encouraged to shower before entering the pool
  • Please limit time in showers and changing areas during busy periods
Cleanliness
  • Dispose of all trash in designated receptacles
  • Hang towels and leave your area clean for the next guest
  • Report injuries, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns to staff immediately
Personal Property

Hall Memorial Pool and Boys & Girls Club of Metro North are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Guests are responsible for securing their belongings.

Enforcement

Failure to comply with these rules may result in:

  • A verbal warning
  • Removal from the pool or locker room for the remainder of the day
  • Suspension or revocation of pool privileges
  • Additional disciplinary action as determined by management

Pool staff reserve the right to interpret and enforce these rules to protect the safety, privacy, and enjoyment of all guests.
