Boys & Girls Clubs Announce 2022 Festival of Trees Holiday Event

STONEHAM | WAKEFIELD: The Boys & Girls Clubs are excited to announce the 2022 Festival of Trees holiday event on Sunday, November 20th, 2022 at MarketStreet Lynnfield. The event will run from 2pm to 6pm with plans to include nearly 100 decorated trees, arts & crafts, live musical performances, and Santa Claus himself!

The Festival of Trees is the Boys & Girls Clubs annual holiday event where local businesses, community groups, and families donate decorated trees for visitors to enjoy during the holiday season. Visitors can buy raffle tickets to win and take home their favorite trees. All proceeds collected at the event go directly to funding Club programming and supporting children and families in the community during the holidays. Entry is free and open to the public.

“Starting with Stacey Curran-Conway and Paula DiBartolomeo, our Festival of Trees has always been reflective of the holiday spirit that fills the communities we serve. Being surrounded by family and friends, with imaginative trees and other decorations from businesses, local leaders, and a wide assortment of civic groups & nonprofits. It is truly a magical event and a great way to raise money for our kids. We have to thank MarketStreet Lynnfield for offering to host us for the second year and providing us with additional exposure to our annual event, “said Anthony Guardia, Chief Development Officer at the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The event will be held at MarketStreet Lynnfield during the property’s Holiday Stroll on Sunday, November 20th from 3pm-6pm. Visitors are invited to view a winter wonderland of decorated trees and buy raffle tickets to enter to win and take one home for the holidays. Attendees are also invited to visit La Gallina, (lagallina-lynnfield.com) the new coastal Mediterranean eatery and bar located next to the Festival of Trees, to catch the Patriots Game and test out delicious samples in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs. Children will also have a chance to visit with Santa and participate in fun, festive activities at the event.

“The holidays are such a special time of year at MarketStreet Lynnfield and we couldn’t think of a better way to help kick the season off than with an annual event that not only spreads excitement and cheer, but gives directly back to the community. We’re so grateful for our partnership with our local Boys & Girls Clubs and are honored to once again host the Festival of Trees, adding some joy to the lives of children in need,“ said Charlotte Woods, General Manager of MarketStreet Lynnfield.

In addition to the Festival of Trees, visitors to MarketStreet Lynnfield can enjoy a full afternoon and evening at the Holiday Stroll, including amazing shopping opportunities, food sampling, interactive holiday decor, live entertainment, festive activities, and a very special tree lighting led by Mr. Claus himself! More information to be announced in the coming weeks on bgcfestivaloftrees.com. For information about how to get involved with either event, contact Megan Samborski at [email protected].
